We develop coaches to develop others. Therefore if we develop coaches we do not ‘teach’ coaching. If you are interested in continuing past just techniques and you want to create a deeper awareness, develop the profound attitudes and skills essential to highly effective coaching, then our courses right for you.
At the CILC we do not believe there is one way to coach, we understand that we will all coach differently based on who we are. Therefore every coach brings their unique character to the profession. We are also aware that all coaches cannot coach for every possible problem or arena of life. With these things in mind our courses and approach to delivery uses the fact that people are different and we use it to enliven the programmes.
However diverse our students are it is critically important for them to embrace the ethics and responsibility of being a professional coach and work within the recognised framework for coaching in the UK. We expect that once qualified that all our graduates are committed to continuous learning, (professional development) and supervision for their coaching practice.
All our courses are based around your own development and includes features such as gaining self-knowledge, becoming self-organised, using self-learning effectively and developing reflective practices. The courses structures focus on learning as an open-ended process with both informal and formal learning opportunities. Every time we deliver course it is different due to the variety of students as a consequence of this things will happen that cannot be planned. This increases learning opportunities dramatically and results in additional high-value learning.
CILC is committed to enabling practitioners to become creators of their own niche and to exploit their individual abilities thereby allowing clients to choose them for their unique approach. This serves to enhance the relationship of the coach and client from the beginning.
